Ombre is term for color that fades into another in a horizontal fashion with a soft transition. Most of the Ombre rugs have a range of shades of the same color with the darker tones on the ends and the lighter tones in the middle. They seem to have subtle stripes and come in a multitude of colors. They add color without pattern to a modern or contemporary style of decor.
