Oval shaped rugs can soften a rectangular space. Oval rugs are wonderful under an oval dining room table. Oval sofa tables are best framed by an oval rug. An oval accent rug in the kitchen placed by the sink or in front of the refrigerator can help soften the place that we spend time on our feet. Oval shapes can be used in small or larger bathrooms. Oval rugs are not made in every design and color combination and not as easy to find as rectangular shaped rugs. Kitchen nooks that open into a bay window are well served by the oval shape.
