In our Samovar Collection, the rugs undergo the Teawash process before the final Lustre-Wash. Teawash is an innovative and exclusive finishing process developed by Karastan which transforms our lustrous wool colors into a vintage patina. Naturally, that patina is saturated into our dozens of shades of reds, greens, gold and indigos that we use to subtly create the 'abrash' effect of old vegetable dyes. The result is positively luminous, Twentieth century heirlooms with the vintage look of treasured antiques.
